Peachtree City Sign Reinhardt Midfielder Gus Fidler

The goal of every athlete across the globe is to establish a legacy. That goal can be accomplished in a number of different ways, but some of the most lasting legacies develop from family members who follow in each other’s footsteps. Whether it be Doc and Austin Rivers, J├╝rgen and Jonathan Klinsmann, or Peyton and Eli Manning, families always have the ability to write their names in the history books of their sport, and right here in Peachtree City one of those legacies has an opportunity to develop. Gus Fidler - Midfielder - Reinhardt University The brother of MOBA All-Time Leading Scorer Todd Fidler, Gus Fidler has some large shoes to fill with the yellow and black. Playing his high school soccer for McIntosh, Fidler starred with the Chiefs as a consistent scorer for one of the best programs in the state of Georgia. With his senior season in 2017 being arguably his most notable, Fidler guided the Chiefs to a 25-1-0 overall record en route to the school’s sixth boy’s state champions…

Peachtree City Sign Memphis Midfielder Luke Biasi

The midfield position is one of the most demanding in the sport. Going from end-line to end-line, midfielders find themselves sprinting the length of the pitch multiple times throughout a match, attacking and defending. Playing in the middle requires a lot of stamina and endurance, along with skill and an ability to play in every facet of the game. Come the final whistle, the result could very well be weighted on the performance of the midfielders, and with that, only the best survive, and MOBA's latest signing looks as if he could be found on the top of the pile. Luke Biasi - Midfielder - University of Memphis Out of Buford, Georgia, midfielder Luke Biasi showed a lot of potential growing up in the Georgia system, and that potential carried over into his first collegiate season. Biasi played six years for Atlanta Fire United growing up to go along with a year with Georgia United. In 2016, Biasi joined the United Futbol Academy, where he shined. With UFA, Biasi helped guide the c…

Peachtree City Sign West Florida Defender Jerry Wiltshire

As the 2018 PDL season draws ever closer, roster spots are beginning to fill, and speculation can begin as to who will win the starting spots. To this point, the back line is where MOBA's biggest questions are, as a number of the first signings have been defenders. That is most definitely a good problem to have, as more talent means more competition for minutes, encouraging better play, and Peachtree City's latest signing looks keen to be at the center of that battle. Jerry Wiltshire - Defender - University of West Florida Jerry Wiltshire of London, England, brings to MOBA a talent they have not seen much of in their two seasons: a defender who can score. Growing up and playing youth football in the Queens Park and Watford systems, Wiltshire came to the US and joined Bethel University prior to the 2015-16 season. During his freshman season with the Wildcats, Wiltshire started all eighteen matches as Bethel went 10-7-1 on the year. Wiltshire played a key role defensively for t…

Peachtree City Sign Jacksonville Midfielder Kai Bennett

It's no mystery that MOBA's PDL side has had scoring troubles. It has been one of the key points of analysis for every field signing thus far: Can they score? While a few of those answers have been yes, no signing has checked the box with as much emphasis as MOBA's latest signing has, and that is just one of the reasons to get excited to see what he can do this summer. Kai Bennett - Midfielder - Jacksonville University A hometown player from Smyrna, midfielder Kai Bennett has shown some very lethal scoring ability at this point in his career. Playing his club soccer with Concorde Fire Elite, Bennett won two Disney Championships and a Georgia State Cup during his tenure with the Fire. In high school at Riverwood, Bennett was a four year starter with the school, scoring thirty-one goals in four years including an astonishing twenty-one his junior season. After such high totals, Bennett was named to the All-County First Team following the season. In what is ver…

Peachtree City Sign Former Clayton State Goalkeeper Charlotte McCormack

The goalkeeper position is arguably the most vital position in the world of football. The final line of defense between the opposition and goals is the keeper, and it is far from an easy task. Some of the world's greatest footballers are goalkeepers, most notably the likes of Gianluigi Buffon, Hope Solo, and David de Gea. Only the most composed can make it in the harsh world of goalkeeping, and the MOBA WPSL club's latest signing has shown she has the ability to be successful. Charlotte McCormack - Goalkeeper - Clayton State University A native of Wexford, Ireland, Charlotte McCormack played her youth soccer locally in Ireland, working her way up the system until she made her professional debut with Wexford Youths W.F.C. in the first season of the Irish Women's National League in 2011. Following the season, McCormack moved to the United States and enrolled at Clayton State University, where she first showed her goal-keeping prowess to the States. Her freshman season was mo…

Peachtree City Sign Furman Defender Abby Ott

With the outstanding growth that MOBA Soccer Academy has seen over the last two years, it only seems fitting that the Women's Premier Soccer League would find its way to the suburbs to cap off the development pyramid at the academy. The WPSL is the top women's pre-professional league in the country, fielding over 100 teams across the US and Canada. With 2018 marking MOBA's first season in the league, manager Campbell Chapman will be looking to get off to a running start, and the club's first signing looks prime to lay the foundation.
Abby Ott - Defender - Furman University A Peachtree City native, defender Abby Ott grew up in one of the best youth systems in the country. Playing her youth soccer with Concorde Fire, Ott helped lead the U-18's to two first-place finishes in the ECNL under coach Brian Moore. Ott played her high school soccer for McIntosh, where she was voted team MVP after her junior and senior seasons. Abby captained the Chiefs to a AAAAA state titl…

Peachtree City Sign George Mason Forward Tolunimi Ibikunle and Midfielder Zion Gray

Regardless of how well a team can defend their side of the pitch, if they cannot put the ball in the net, they will never win. That has been one of MOBA's biggest struggles over the last two seasons, as goal totals have been less than impressive. That is not for lack of talent, however, as MOBA have seen some very skilled scorers come through including Todd Fidler, Edmundo Robinson, and Santiago Moore, but nobody has truly been able to be a consistent target. 2018 is a prime season to reverse those fortunes, as former Puerto Rico Islanders great Nicholas Addlery has joined the PDL coaching staff as an assistant, and he brings with him a wealth of goal-scoring experience. All that remains is to start building up the attack, and MOBA have just announced their first offense-focused signings of the off-season. Tolunimi Ibikunle - Forward - George Mason University A native of Philadelphia, Tolunimi Ibikunle featured as part of a well-developed Philadelphia youth system. For three year…

Peachtree City Sign Memphis Defender Artur Luca and NIU Goalkeeper Konrad Dziedzic

Given the circumstances of the last two seasons, it is no wonder MOBA have been targeting quality defensive talent during the off-season. Defense being a key point of focus going into 2018 under manager Omar Jarun, one can only expect to see a massive growth in the strength of Peachtree City’s back four, and slowly but surely they are putting together the pieces to build a strong wall in the defensive third. The future is very bright for the club, and MOBA’s latest signings continue to build that potential.
Artur Luca - Defender - University of Memphis A native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Luca made his collegiate debut for San Jacinto College in Texas in 2017. In thirteen matches with San Jacinto, Luca made a massive impact with the minutes he played, as the team went 10-3 with him on the pitch, including two clean sheets and six one-goal matches. While Luca did not play in three matches in the middle of the season, he did start the following six as the club went on a nine-match win…

Peachtree City Sign Boston Defender Joshua Barkoff

Through MOBA's two seasons in the league, defense has been a consistent struggle. That is not to say that no quality defensive talent has passed through the suburbs, as the likes of Adam Sheikali, Salomon Lorenzano, James Thomas, Nick Spielman, and Daniel Olaniran have all seen great success both in the PDL and in college. Despite that, there have been issues with keeping the back line in sync, and a fair portion of that could be attributed to a lack of stability in the management position. 2018 is a prime season for those struggles to end, however, as former professional center-back Omar Jarun has officially taken over as manager. Bringing in a wealth of experience from across the globe, Jarun is exactly the man MOBA need at the head, and now all he needs is players to fill his roster, and it seems entirely likely that this is the year MOBA finally sees success.
Joshua Barkoff - Defender - Boston University Now the second defender to come out of Boston to join Peachtree City, al…

Peachtree City Sign Memphis Midfielder Chris Mikus

At long last, the 2018 PDL League Year is underway, and with that comes the first step in the championship process: signing players. Coming into their third season, Peachtree City MOBA will be craving some success after accruing just five wins in twenty-eight matches, and that all starts with signing the right talent. Under the leadership of manager Omar Jarun and assistant Nicholas Addlery, MOBA should be the perfect place for talent to thrive in 2018, and now the first name can finally be written into the roster. Chris Mikus - Midfielder - University of Memphis While the Memphis Tigers did not have the greatest 2017 season, finishing just 4-8-4 on the season, they did get their first taste of highly-ranked prospect midfielder Chris Mikus. A Cumming-native out of South Forsyth High School, Mikus developed his talents in a elite atmosphere following his freshman season. A member of the USSF Development Academy during high school, Mikus was incredibly successful. With international tr…
